A beautiful blend of freshly picked apricots and plums with a touch of dry red wine. Made from velvety blue damson plums and bright apricots picked straight off my family's trees and left to macerate overnight with minimal organic cane sugar. Next day they are slowly cooked down in a low-heat oven until they are reduced to a thick puree that is the most wonderful melding of flavors—the concentration of juicy, fresh, California plums&apricots. Just before canning, syrah, a dry red wine, is added to the pureé, adding a savory undertone and complementing the bright acidity of the fruit.

Excellent swirled into yoghurt, as a complement to a tangy chevre, a pancake topper, crepe filler, dressing mix-in, and whatever your imagination can dream up!
